BIDDING PROCEDURES


There are two different ways to bid on our auctions:
Calendar Auctions and SoloBuy Auctions.





CALENDAR AUCTIONS

Live – in person

- Check our room auction calendar
- Come to our live auction on the selected date an schedule.
- Clients should present personal identification.
- Define payment method: Credit Card, Bank transfer, Money, other.
- Ask for a paddle in advance by filling out our pre-registration form.
- A 19% buyer's premium and applicable tax wil be added to Hammer Price in person.

Live – On the internet

- Bid live via the internet after register
- Please register at least 24 hours before the sale.
- If you are already registered Sign In to submit your register sale.
- Review and accept the terms and conditions of the auction.
- Launch P4LiveBid system.
- A 22,5% buyers premium and applicable tax will be added to lots purchased.

Live – by phone

- Phone reservation will be accepted up 24 hours before the sale.
- A P4's saleroom representative will bid live with you over the phone.
- A 19% buyer's premium and applicable tax.

Absentee Bidding – fax, phone or  email

- Bidders may submit absentee bids anytime up to 24 hours before the sale time by phone, email or fax.
- An absentee bid form is available here.
- P4's saleroom representative will execute your bids and attempt to purchase the lot for you at the lowest price, allowing for other bids and reserves.
- A 19% buyer's premium and applicable tax.

Absentee Bidding – Internet

- Bidders may submit absentee bids on the internet at p4liveauctions.com at any time before and during the auction (bids submitted during the auction on a “best effords basis”).
- P4's auctioneer will execute your bids on your behalf.
- Absentee bids are confidential and not displayed on the P4's website
- A 19% buyer's premium and applicable tax.

Buyers are urged to read and accept P4LiveAuctions Conditions of Sale of business prior to bidding at any auction.


SOLOBUY AUCTIONS

- Check SoloBuy page regularly to view artwork available.
- Bidding with SoloBuy is similar to the well-known portal eBay, however the choice of artwork is validated by P4's specialists.
- New clients should register p4liveauctions.com website in order to start bidding.
- Sign In and start bidding.
- Keep up to date auction progress and closing dates for each piece.
- At the Client Area check if the Bid is on you or if the Bid is against you.
- If the Bid is against you, Place new bid!
- All commissions included in the bidding value except tax.

CONSERVATION STATUS:

* (A)   Absolutely perfect in every way.
* (B)   Nearly perfect.
* (C)   Very Good.
* (D)   Good. Does not mean Bad!
* (E)   Bad. Same defects.


VIEWING LOTS

- Lots are normaly available for physical inspection at the auction house head office at 16 Navegantes St. Lisbon.
- P4's recommends that bidder call in advance to confirme viewing.
