Book entitled “Ciúme: canções”, Lisbon: Momento Editions, printed in 1934. – Unnumbered. Typographic proof with handwritten corrections by the author. In good condition. Fernando Pessoa’s copy.
REFERENCES: António Botto (1897-1959) was born in Alvega, borough of Abrantes. He lived in Portugal, in Africa and in Brazil. He died in Rio de Janeiro, in 1959, having been run over by a car. His poetic work was admired by Fernando Pessoa and by the “Presença” group. His best known work “Canções”, published in 1921, caused great scandal in the Portuguese intellectual scene for being deemed as an explicitly pederast work.
