Original document handwritten by Fernando Pessoa dated “22/4/1922”, with ideas for poems. Unpublished. On the back there is a list of 5 titles for publication. Poems handwritten in ink and other notes in pencil on paper.
Transcriptions:
Quem espera sempre, espera sempre em vão,
Quem ama, ou ama-se, e terá o que tem,
Onde puz a ventura, não a vi,
Porque quem espera sempre espera o bem.
E o bem vive em nosso coração:
Ou já o temos, ou elle nunca vem.
ou ama outro, e ama a illusão
Que, quando a toque, será voragem (?) alguem,
E nunca o bem que é venda e confusão.
onde puz o desejo, floriu pranto
e só quem fui ou que fugi ser colhi.
Hoje não espero nem o muito encanto
De haver esperado, quero o fim (?)
