Victor Palla | photograph. Untitled (Rossio, Lisbon), printed ca.1956/58. Vintage gelatin silver print. 25x25 cm. Unique print, printed by the artist, never before reproduced. Victor Palla and Costa Martins, authors of the seminal book “Lisboa, Cidade Triste e Alegre” (Lisbon - A Sad and Joyous City, 1958), often took pictures of Lisbon. This photograph (by Palla) was not included in the book, but it shares the same mood and atmosphere.
