Who we are
P4 was established in Lisbon in 2001 by Luís Trindade, who was born in a traditional family of art dealers and later graduated in Art Conservation.
Having started its Auction activity only four years ago, P4LiveAuctions is already recognized in the national and international market for the quality of its auctions and the thoroughness of its catalogues. P4 is also responsible for bringing about new trends to Collectionism through sales falling into the categories of Photography, Posters, Design, Manuscripts, Photobooks and Fashion.
In spite of its avant-garde orientation P4 is not exclusively focused on the creation of new markets. In 2008 the auction-house took the market by surprise by curating and organizing the sale at auction of the estate of Fernando Pessoa, Portugal’s best known poet. The Fernando Pessoa Auction would ultimately contribute to reinforce the auction-house’s growing international visibility.
A year later, in 2009, P4 organized the sale of the estate of António Variações, the 80’s mythical Portuguese Pop singer who died prematurely, thus opening the way for the appearance of new collectors of Rock and Pop Memorabilia.
The use of new technologies has also accompanied the development of the auction-house and the creation of its internet bidding interface – the P4LiveBid system. This system, which was designed exclusively by P4, enables live real-time bidding with audio and video allowing the online buyers the possibility of submitting their bid simultaneously with the bidder in the auction room.
By using a strategy that relies on competitive sales commission, P4 bears the risks involved in its events, as well as the success, allowing the sellers to find themselves in an advantageous position.
P4LiveAuctions is a Lisbon based auction-house that is currently undergoing an implementation process in various international markets by benefiting from the collaboration of new experts in various auction categories. P4’s goal is to become the most recognized Portuguese auction-house operating in the global market.

Quem Somos
A P4LiveAuctions foi fundada por em 2001. Luís Trindade, o seu fundador, cresceu no meio de uma família tradicional de negociantes de arte, factor que muito o influenciou, nomeadamente, na actividade em que mais tarde se veio a especializar - Conservação de Arte.
Com apenas quatro anos de actividade, a P4 é já reconhecida no mercado leiloeiro nacional e internacional, pela qualidade dos seus leilões e rigor dos seus catálogos. É responsável por trazer novas tendências do coleccionismo para as suas vendas com apostas nas categorias de Fotografia, Posters, Design, Manuscritos, Photobooks e Moda.
Apesar de possuir uma orientação vanguardista, a P4 não vive apenas da criação de novos mercados. Em 2008, surpreendeu o mercado leiloeiro tradicional, ao levar a praça o espólio do mais internacional poeta português – Fernando Pessoa. The Fernando Pessoa Auction veio a conferir e reforçar a crescente visibilidade internacional da leiloeira.
Um ano mais tarde, em 2009, colocou em praça o espólio do mítico cantor Pop Português dos anos 80, falecido prematuramente - António Variações, abrindo um novo caminho para o coleccionismo de Memorabilia Rock e Pop.
As novas tecnologias também acompanharam o desenvolvimento da leiloeira, que desenhou à sua medida uma interface de licitação para a internet, o sistema P4LiveBid®. Este sistema, desenhado em exclusivo pela P4, permite a licitação, em tempo real, com voz e vídeo, dando ao cibernauta a possibilidade de disputa das peças em simultaneo com o licitador na sala.
Com uma estratégia assente em comissões de venda competitivas, a P4 assume integralmente o risco e sucesso dos seus eventos, colocando o vendedor e proprietário dos bens numa posição segura.
A P4LiveAuctions, sediada em Lisboa, encontra-se em fase de implementação em vários mercados internacionais para o que contribuem os novos especialistas nas diversas categorias de leilões. A P4 mantém como objectivo tornar-se na mais reconhecida leiloeira Portuguesa a operar no mercado global.
